She is a lovely Indian actress who has appeared predominantly in the Malayalam Films .She made her acting debut in the Malayalam with Positive (2008) and debuted the following year in Tamil with Naadodigal. She has a younger brother named Arjun . Once she appeared as a child artist in one of her father’s productions. She pursued a B.A. degree in Communicative English at St. Xavier’s College, Aluva. She was a state champion in Archery in her childhood. While representing her collage in a television reality show “Star Wars”. She got recognized by various directors. She got a lot of film offers. After declining five projects she decided to give a try in the film “Positive”. Her screen name was changed after her first film and she continued with the name Ananya. Later she appeared in the Tamil film Naadodigal. The film got a lot of commercial success.

After her debut and her second film she got her featured to reprise the same role in its Malayalam remake Ithu Nammude Katha. Later the film Shikkar alongside Mohanlal gave her a big break in Malayalam. In the film her thrilling performance got her “Vijayashanti” of Malayalam. She also played the supporting role in Kandahar. Where she was seen with Mohanlal and Amitabh Bachchan. Ananya played one of the female lead roles in Engeyum Eppodhum in the year of 2011. Though the film got rave reviews but was a sleeper hit. She appeared in Pulivaal which was her first release after three years in the Tamil Film Industry.

Ananya got engage in 3rd February 2012 with Anjaneyan, a businessman from Trichur. However she called off to the marriage in two weeks for the cause of her husband’s previous marriage. She didn’t knew the news of her husband’s marriage before her engagement.Later in July she married Anjaneyan in a highly secretive event in Tirupati.Then she revealed this news in a TV Show.They have seen giving TV Interviews together.
