Vedhika is an Indian film actress, who is mainly acted in Kannada Film Industry. She also appeared in Malayalam, Telugu and Tamil films. She has made her breakthrough by portraying the role of Angamma in Tamil film “Paradesi” in 2013, which won critical acclaim and award nominations for her portrayal.

Education and Career:

Vedhika completed her graduation in B. Sc in Business Administration and post graduation in M. Sc in Marketing from Cardiff University in the United Kingdom. She enlisted her name in Kishore Namith Kapoor School to learn acting and dancing skills for making a strong career in films, where she became trained in Bharatanatyam, Kathak and Jazz since her childhood.

She made her acting debut with Tamil movie “Madrasi” opposite Arjun Sarja in 2006 and her Telegu debut was the film “Vijayadasami” in 2007. In the same year, she also acted in the Tamil movie “Muni”, which is a bilingual movie directed by Raghavendra Lawrence, where she played the role of a Priya who is a sensible girl.

Vedika then starred in a Kannada film “Sangama” opposite Ganesh, and the film fetched her average reviews for her performance. In 2009, she appeared as the radio jockey Anjali in A. Venkatesh’s film “Malai Malai” which onsequently going on to become commercially successful. Vedhika made a return to Telugu films in 2009, with the role Subbakaksmi in the critically acclaimed film “Baanam”.
Vedhika earlier worked for a music video in Hindi and also acted in commercials like Ayur and Sun Feast with Surya. That is how she got instant recognition.

Vedhika has also done many Tamil movies named, “Sakkara Kathi” opposite K. Shantanu Bhagyaraj, produced by Kalaipuli Thanu. Where A. R. Rehman is scoring music. It really was a big venture for Vedhika.
