Shriya Saran is a very popular Indian actress, born on 11 September 1982 in Dehradun, India as Shriya Saran Bhatnagar, but she spent most her time in Haridwar. She is a very beautiful actress and acted in various language films such as Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and English.
 Shriya Saran is also a good dancer, with the help of her dance master she debuts in a music video named “Thirakti Kyun Hawa”. With this music video, she got the attention of various film directors and producers. In 2001, she acted in her debut film Ishtam but her commercial successful film was Santhosham in 2002. With her onscreen acting performance and excellent dancing skill, Shriya Saran became a popular actress. Then she acted in several Telugu films with well-known actors and directors. She became famous all over India after acting in Sivaji: The Boss, a very successful movie, opposite South superstar Rajinikanth. After that she offered and worked in several Bollywood and Kollywood films, she also worked in a Hollywood film.

In 2007, Shriya Saran acted in a Hindi film, Awarapan, it was a join production between India and Pakistan. This was her 4th Hindi film, she learns Urdu for this film and it was a successful movie. Then she also worked in some Tamil films, Azhagiya Tamil Magan, alongside with Vijay is one of them. The same year, Shriya Saran also worked in a Kannada film Arasu. In 2007, she acted in six films in 4 different languages. She acted in all sorts of the film such as comedy, action, romance, thriller etc. Some her famous films are Santhosham (2002), Tagore (2003), Magan (2007) and much more.
Shriya Saran made her debut in Hollywood with the movie The Other End Of The Line, directed by Amritraj in 2008. In this film, she acted with Jesse Metcalfe,[26] Anupham Kher and Tara Sharma. The acting performance of Shriya Saran, in this film, was excellent and achieved good critic reviews.

In 2008, Shriya Saran also acted in a Hindi film Mission Istaanbul, in this film she played a role of a journalist. Her Tamil film Kanthaswamy in 2009, was a commercial success. For this film, she was nominated for the Vijay Award. The same year she also acted in Thoranai.
Shriya Saran made her Malayalam debut in 2010 with the film Pokkhiri Raja, opposite Mammootty and Prithviraj. She also did remarkable work in Malayalam movies.

Shriya Sana’s father name is Pushpendra Saran, he works in Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited. Her mother, Neerja saran was a Chemistry teacher. She has a brother, Abhiroop Saran.
Shriya Saran doesn’t like to discuss her personal life in the media. She is involved in some charity work. She is the Brand ambassador of Naandi Foundation and child heart foundation. She opened a Spa on 2011 in Mumbai.
In 2008, there was a controversy about Shriya Saran, A Chennai Hindu organization lodged a police complaint about her outfit she wore in the 175th-day celebration of the movie Sivaji: The Boss. Later issued an apology for this situation.
