Saif Ali Khan is a lovely Indian actor and producer, who mainly appear in Bollywood films. He is known for his act in the films like Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Dil Chahta Hai (2001) and Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003). He is the son of actress Sharmila Tagore and the late cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. Parampara,is his first Hindi Film which was released in 1993.But he got his fame and got noticed in 1994 with the films  Yeh Dillagi and the action film Main Khiladi Tu Anari. Famous actress Kareena Kapoor is his wife and A former lead actress Amrita Sing is his ex-wife. Having two Children with Amrita Singh, Saif decided to have another one with Kareena. So, Kareena Gave Birth to Taimur Ali Khan in 2013.

Early and personal life:

Saif Ali Khan got married to Amrita Singh in 1991 and got divorced in 2004. The couple has a son and a daughter. He is currently married to Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor. He is the tenth Nawab of Pataudi.

Career:

Saif Ali Khan made his acting debut in 1993 with the film Parampara, directed by Yash Chopra, which was a failure. In the same year he appeared in the film Aashiq Awara, which was also a commercial failure, but earned him Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. He showed moderate success in 1994’s film Imtihaan.  He earned much recognition by appearing in the films Yeh Dillagi and Main Khiladi Tu Anari in 1994, along with Akshay Kumar. HE later starred in several poorly performed films like Surakshaa (1995), Ek Tha Raja (1996), Bambai Ka Babu (1996), Tu Chor Main Sipahi (1996), Dil Tera Diwana (1996), Hamesha (1997), Udaan (1997).

 

 

After four consecutive poor performances at the box office Saif Ali Khan started to gain success in 1999 with the movies Yeh Hai Mumbai Meri Jaan, Kachche Dhaage, Aarzoo and Hum Saath-Saath Hain. He earned his first major success with Hum Saath-Saath Hain, alongside Salman Khan Karishma Kapoor. In 2001, Khan appeared in the movie Dil Chahta Hai, co-starring Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna and Preity Zinta. The film earned him popularity and started to make him prominent actor in the Industry. His performance in the film was highly acclaimed and he won Filmfare Award for Best Performance in a Comic Role. He appeared with Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta in the film Kal Ho Naa Ho in 2003, which won him accolades with Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor and Filmfare Moto Look of the Year. Saif Ali Khan won National Film Award for Best Actor and Filmfare Award for Best Performance in a Comic Role for his performance in the film Hum Tum. He has appeared in the commercially successful films Franchise Race and Race 2.

1991-2000: First Marriage career and Initial struggles

Saif was casted in Rahul Rawail’s romantic drama Bekhudi (1992) alongside debutante Kajol. While filming Bekhudi Saif met Amrita Singh who he married in October, 1991.The couple gave birth to a daughter (Sara) and a son (Ibrahim) in 1993 and 2001 respectively, and the couple later separated in 2004.

Rise in 2001-2004

He started the year 2001 with a box office flop named Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega. Later he was featured by Farhan Akhtar in his film Dil Chahta haiwith Amir Khan and Akshay Khanna. The film was critically successful and it earned him the Filmfare Award for Best Performance in a Comic Role and awards for Best Supporting Actor at the Screen, Zee Cine and International Indian Academy (IIFA) ceremonies. Later in the year and in the beginning of 2002 he was featured in two poorly received films: Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein (2001) and Na Tum Jaano Na Hum (2002). In 2003 he was featured Nikhil Advani-directed romantic drama Kal Ho Naa Ho. With a worldwide revenue of over ₹860 million , the film was received favourably by critics, and became India’s second-biggest hit of the year. In 2004 he got Hum Tum of Yash Raj Films. The film got successful reviews and he got acclaimed. Later in the year he appeared briefly as Cpt. Anuj Nayyar in J. P. Dutta’s box office flop LOC Kargil.

2011–15: Career fluctuations and second marriage

In 2011, he appeared in Prakash Jha’s multi-starrer drama Aarakshan. The film was very much successful. Later he appeared as the protagonist in the action thriller Agent Vinod where Kareena Kapoor Khan was featured alongside him. The film opened up with mixed reviews and eventually under-performed at the box office grossing ₹400 million (US$6.1 million) in India on a budget of ₹620 million (US$9.5 million). Cocktail, was his following release with Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty. The Film received positive reviews and it emerged a financial success grossing over ₹1.2 billion (US$18 million) worldwide. In these he used to date Kareena Kapoor Khan and the couple got married On 16 October 2012.In the following year he appeared in Race 2 with Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor Jhon Abraham and Jacquline Fernandez. The got negative reviews I the box office. Later he appeared in Go Goa Gone and Bullet Raja but none of them could earn him success in the year.

Later he has a appeared in many films most of them was commercially successful and some of them was box office flops.
