Nahed Sherif was an Egyptian actress who came to prominence in the Egyptian films in the 1960s and 1970s. She was born on 1 January, 1942 in Alexandria, Egypt. She was known for her acting in “Kuwait Connection” (1973), “Beit El Talibat” (1967) and “Sobyan wa Banat” (1965).

Nahed Sherif worked in the Egyptian and Lebanese films and proved herself in the roles of seduction. She was discovered by the director Hussein Helmy El Mohandess and she made her film debut in 1958 with a small role. She studied at the Lycee French School but she did not complete her studies.
She appeared in many theatre plays like “Adaab El Zawag” in 1971. Nahed also acted in many television series including “Al Ragol Alazi Fakad Zelo” (The man who loosed his shadow). She went out of the seduction roles by acting in the film “Wa Mada Ketaar al Omr” (The age train has passed), “Nisaa El Leil 3” (The midnight ladies 3) and “Kessas” (Stories).
Then Sherif moved to Lebanon and made her debut in Lebanese film by playing the role of Sorya with the action film “Kuwait Connection” in 1973, which was directed by Sami A. Khouri. She became famous for her acting in the film “The Lady of the Black Moons”. Later, she starred in a number of other Lebanese films.

Nahed Sherif married Hussien Helmy El Mohandes in 1962, at the beginning of her life. Then she married actor Kamal El Shenawy and then the Lebanese artist Edward Shafek. She had one child, a daughter named Lena Djeredjian, with her third husband Edouard Djeredjian.
Nahed Sherif died on 7 April, 1981 in Cairo, Egypt by a malignant breast cancer.
