Nadia Lutfi is a retired Egyptian film actress, born on 3 January, 1934 in Sohag, Egypt. She is well known for her roles in the films, including “El Saman wa El Kharif” (1967), “Abee Fawk El Shagar” (1969), “El Nazara El Sawdaa”, “El Naser Salah El Dine” (1963) and “Cairo Station” (1958).

Career:

When Nadia Lutfi was ten years old, she started acting as a hobby and she acted in a play at her school and she did very well. She started her professional acting career in Egyptian film with a black & white drama titled “Soultan” in 1958. Then she acted in a small role in the film “Cairo Station” in 1958, directed by Youssef Chahine.

Nadia appeared in the film “El Saman wa El Kharif” in 1967, which was based on the book El Saman wa El Kharif by Nobel prize winning writer Naguib Mahfouz. She also acted opposite singer and actor Abd El Haleem Hafiz in several movies like “Abee Fawk El Shagar” (1969) and “El Khataya” (1962). She co-starred in the play “Bamba Kshr” and the opera “Nas we Nas”. She performed in one of the most remarkable roles in the film “El Naser Salah El Dine” in 1963, directed by Youssef Chahine.

Nadia Lutfi achieved several awards for her roles in the films “El Nazara El Sawdaa” and “El Seman Wel Khareef”.
