Geeta Basra is an Indian film actress who appears in Bollywood films. She was born in Portsmouth, England, United Kingdom on 13 March 1984 into a Punjabi Indian family. She completed her schooling from Portsmouth High School, Portsmouth, England. His father is Rakesh Basra and mother is parveen Basra. She has a sister Ruby Basra and a brother Rahul Basra. She learned acting at the Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting Institute.
Geeta Basra wanted to be a criminal psychologist in her early life but later turned to be an actress. She was featured in several music videos with Sukshinder Shinda’s “Ghum Sum Ghum Sum” and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. Geeta Basra made her acting debut in 2006 with the film Dil Diya Hai alongside Emraan Hashmi and Ashmit Patel. She acted again with Emraan Hashmi in her second film The Train which was released in 2007. After a long gap basra made a special appearance in2013 in the movie Zilla Ghaziabad. She appeared in the film Mr Joe B.
Carvalho in 20104 alongside Arshad Warsi, Soha Ali Khan and Javed Jaffrey. Later in 2014 she again appeared in the film Bhaiyyaji Superhit alongside agin Arshad Warsi Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta. In 2016 Geeta Basri appeared in the romantic comedy Second Hand Husband playing the role of Neha. In the film she acted along with Dharmendra, Gippy Grewal and Tina Ahuja. The film proved to be a moderate success at the box office. In the same year she debuted in the Punjabi film industry with the film Lock along side Gippy Grewal and Gurpreet Ghuggi.
Geeta Basra dated for many years with Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh and got married to on 29 October 2015. The wedding ceremony took place at a hotel in Phagwara, 20 kilometers from Harbhajan’s hometown, Jalandhar and the reception held at the Taj Hotel in New Delhi.
