Dalia El Behery is an Egyptian actress, model and television host, who was born in 1970 in Tanta, Egypt. She won the title of Miss Egypt in 1990 and the achieved the 27th place in the Miss Universe pageant in Los Angeles in 1990. She is best known for ”The Embassy in the Building” (2005), “Divorce Attorney” (2002) and “Reesh Naam” (2010).

Dalia El Beheiry studied Tourism and Hotels and initially worked as a guide before starting work as a model. From there, Dalia transitioned into media roles. After graduation from Helwan University, Dalia had her humble starting working at the campus. A music video for singer Ali El Haggar’s single “Tegeesh Neaeesh” had been her first significant media appearance.
Dalia charmed the hearts of Egyptian people through the national beauty pageant, “Miss Egypt” in 1990. Her this victory paved the path to forthcoming modeling deals. As the tradition, that year, she represented Egypt at the annual Miss Universe beauty pageant 1990 and peaked the 27th position. Finally, she dived into acting, after several other campaigns as a model.
She made her film debut with “Mohami Khulaa” in 2002. She continued acting in films with a role in “El Banat” a year later. She was appeared in three notable roles in the films “Sana Oula Nasb”, “Kan Yom Hobak” and “Kalbi Younadiek” in 2004. She was also casted in Adel Imam’s “Al Safara Fe Al Emara” in 2005, which also starred other Egyptian big stars such as Khaled Selim, Hany Ramzy and Moustafa Amar. In the same year, she also appeared in “Harim Karim” and “Al Bahethat”. Dalia completed filming for the Sami Muhammad Ali directed television series “Bint Min El Zaman Dah” in 2008, before her wedding later that year. The series was broadcasted on Abu Dhabi Channel and stars like Miyar Al Ghiti, Ahmad Saeed, Amro Mahmoud Yasin and Izat Abu Oof were seen alongside Dalia. She also appears in “Al Ghawas” and “Juba”.
Dalia became a Goodwill Ambassador to support World Stroke Day and helped in creating awareness about stroke through campaigns in 2010. She remained a national media phenomenon at the age of 44 and she has earned the title of a veteran celebrity all over the country.=
She married Farid El Morshedy in 2008 and together they had a son named Kesmat. She had a daughter named Khadija, from her previous marriage. Khadija had a rare disease which resulted in her passing away when she was eight months old. But their marriage collapsed in 2013, after five years togather and their separation was announced in an episode of “Samar Wel Rijal” on Al Kahera Wal Nas TV. Although they remained close friends nonetheless. Tragedy struck her again in 2014 when her ex-husband was killed in a terrifying auto accident.
