Mohammed Aamir Hussein khan known as Aamir khan born on 14 March 1965 was first introduced as a child artist in his uncle’s hit film Yaadon Ki Baaraat (1973). Through his career spanning of thirty years in Hindi films, Khan has established himself as one of the most popular and influential actors of Indian cinema. He is the recipient of numerous awards, including nine Filmfare Awards, four National Film Awards, and an AACTA Award, while one of his owned productions received an Academy Award nomination.He got the honor from the Government of India with the Padma Shri in 2003 and the Padma Bhushan in 2010, and he also received an honorary title from the Government of China in 2017.. Once he became a state tennis champion for Maharashtra. Aamir fell in love with the girl next door and when he turned into 21 He proposed to her and she accepted. But actually there was a big barrier because she was from a Hindu family and he is from a devout Islamic background. So, they escaped, got married and returned to their homes. Aamir’s wife Reena was seen in the song “Papa Kehte Hain”. His performance in Earth (1998) as the Ice-Candy was admired world-wide by the international film critics. Aamir proved his supremacy in all genres of Indian films – comedy, action, drama and romance. He is remarked as a complete Indian actor of the post 1990 generation for his miscellaneous choice of roles and films. He divorced his first wife in December 2001 and married Kiran Rao in December 2005 and he again got married to Kiran Rao in 2005.

Early life and background

Amir Khan Is a proud son of a producer Tahir Hossain and Zeenat Hussain.Many of his relatives were the members of Hindi Films. He is related to the Indian philosopher Abul Kalam Azad through his grandmother. Amir is the eldest of four siblings; he has a brother, the actor Faisal Khan, and two sisters, Farhat and Nikhat Khan (married to Santosh Hegde).His nephew, Imran Khan, is a Hindi film actor. At the age of sixteen, Amir was involved in the experimental process of making a 40-minute silent film, Paranoia, which was directed by his school friend Aditya Bhattacharya. He got his stage debut with a small role in the company’s Gujarati play, Kesar Bina, at Prithvi Theatre. He went on to play two of their Hindi plays, and a English play, which was titled Clearing House. Later on he didn’t continued his studies and concentrated in films .

Filmy Career

Amir Khan appeared as a child artist after Yaadon Ki Baaraat in the film Madhosh (1974). Amir married secretly and they revealed it to the world after his debut movie as lead character Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988). The film was a run away of his success and he achieved instant stardom. The film is now regarded as a classic of Hindi Cinema and the film was successful in turning the tide away from action based violent films to family oriented romantic dramas in Hindi movies. The great examples are MPK (1989), HAHK (1994) and DDLJ (1995). He showed his breakthrough performance in his second film Raakh. This film bagged him the National Film Award of Special Jury. Afterward he signed a few films which were not good at the box office. In the year 1990 the biggest grosser of the year was released in the form of Dil. He didn’t need to look back after the commercial and critical hits. In the year of 1996 he appeared with Raja Hindustaniwith Karishma kapoor. Later he appeared in the film named Earth (1998). In 1999 he launched his own Production House named Amir Khan Productions. He got his first film named Lagan Of his Own Production house in the year of 2001.Later in the year he alongside Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Khanna Starred in a lovely acclaimed drama Dil Chahta Hai. After a four-years of absence from film, Khan portrayed the eponymous lead in Mangal Pandey: The Rising (2005).After that in 2006 he appeared and portrayed in the leading roles in two top grossing films of 2006—Fanaa and Rang De Basanti.

As a director he made his debut with the film Taare Zameen Par. The film proved to be a critical and commercial success, which won him the National Film Award for Best Film on Family Welfare. Later in 2008 he appeared in thriller Ghajini starring opposite Asin. After which he portrayed an engineering student in the comedy-drama 3 Idiots (2009).Later He a reclusive artist in the drama Dhobi Ghat (2010). After that he co-starred alongside Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra as the antagonist of the adventure film Dhoom 3 in 2013.Later in 2016 he portrayed the character of an alien in PK. Five of Amir’s films—Ghajini, 3 Idiots, Dhoom 3, PK, and Dangal— have held records for being the highest-grossing Indian film of all time.
